Become an
Arise Champion

We will then send you a link to an online church leader consent form, which you will need to ask your church leader to complete. Once we have received your church leader’s consent, we’ll get in touch with a resource pack to help you get started as an Arise Champion for your church.

What is an Arise Champion, and how can you become one?

Arise Champions help others in their church community to transform Sheffield by empowering them to join in with citywide prayer and mission. They are supported by their church leaders and the Arise Champion Coordinators.

Arise Champions will:

  •  Encourage prayer for Arise within their church;

  • Be an advocate for Arise and invite people to the Arise Launch and other events;

  • Sign up for Arise emails, give notices and make sure Arise invitations and events are reaching their church and, possibly local community (communicating through email, WhatsApp, face to face etc);

  • Receive messages from Arise, before a key Sunday/event, to share with their church and respond to subsequent supportive follow-up from Arise;

  • Work with other outreach workers and evangelists within their church community to ensure Arise messages are cohesive and consistent;

  • Share, articles, good news stories, and local church activities, which the church is happy to promote, through Arise emails, on the Arise blog, and potentially in the Arise magazine.

  • Network, pray and connect with other Arise Champions, either face to face, via phone call or video conferencing etc;

  • Provide feedback from the front line to Arise and other Arise Champions.

What is an Arise Champion Coordinator?

Arise Champion Co-ordinators help to develop the network, support Arise Champions and act as a link between Arise and Arise Champions.

Arise Champion Coordinators will:

  • Be active Arise Champions;

  • Ensure they are up to date with Arise activities, including Arise emails, blogs and magazine content;

  • Recruit prospective Arise Champions who have enthusiasm and passion for unity through prayer and mission;

  • Network and connect with Arise Champions and ensure they are equipped with the tools they need to advocate for Arise in their churches;

  • Meet with Arise Champions to pray for them; their churches and local communities and for Arise;

  • Listen to the insight and feedback from Arise Champions who are grassroot representatives;

The central Arise team will support Champions and Co-ordinators by:

  •  Praying for them and their churches;

  • Communicating with them in good time regarding Arise events and information to be passed on to their churches;

  • Providing high-quality resources;

  • Sharing their contributions and feedback (articles, good news stories and church activities etc.) with the whole Arise community, as appropriate;

  • Taking on board their suggestions for the further development of Arise and of the Arise Champion network;

  • Hosting virtual/in-person meet-ups for Champions.
