Churches and believers across Sheffield will be opening their doors and shining their light this Halloween, hosting Light Parties, and Houses of Light in neighbourhoods across the city.

Houses of Light in 3 Simple Steps

Pack your Truth and Treat bags

Truth and Treat bags are an easy way to share the Gospel with families in your community. They come filled with a children’s Bible story book, a 4 Points tract, and stickers, plus an optional Gospel of Mark.

Light up your home

Light up your house on 31 October so that families know you’re taking part. It can be as simple as putting up fairy lights on your gate or front door, or carving a pumpkin with a cross or heart.
Or, you can take it a step further and join in with Streets of Light, sharing a message of hope in your window.

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in what to say to the families who visit you. Some people might want to stop and chat, others might not want to engage, but however they respond, you’re shining on your street.
